Part Two continues the real-life example and illustration of how an important spiritual transformation from one level of being to another can often be signalled by two episodes, or initiation events, which mirror one another.
*
As a Starseed, and possibly as a Lightworker, you will be required to develop and hone your ability to directly receive guidance and information from the Spirit Realms, concerning the work, service, or contribution, you have volunteered to carry out to assist in the awakening of humanity. In order to be a pure, reliable and dependable instrument for Spirit to work through, however, you will need to undergo a series of initiations before you will be ready for your more “significant” tasks or service. The general rule is, the greater our contribution is to the Plan of Ascension, the more initiations we need to undergo.
An initiation is an event that lifts us to a higher level of spiritual awakening, understanding and power; basically, it raises us to a different psychological and emotional state and level of being. To facilitate an ascension to a higher state of consciousness, an initiation needs to consist of a test or challenge - or series of tests and challenges - which will bring about whatever shift in consciousness, and/or changes in our character, needed for us to progress to a higher level of awareness. In certain cases - such as when an individual shows great willingness, as well as the potential to be of great service to others - Spirit will orchestrate a series of initiations designed to bring about a major spiritual transformation in that person. This was the case when the Spirit Realms decided they wanted to prepare my class for graduation to a higher spiritual level which would enable them to serve Spirit more powerfully and effectively.
Now, the thing is, if any of us are to attain a high level of effectiveness, we need to be able to receive guidance directly and clearly from Spirit, from our Higher Self. And we need to be both willing andcapable, of carrying out Spirit’s directions, requirements and wishes, which of course, is always something to do with the Higher Plan for humanity. In L-s case - one of the members of my class, ( and a dear friend, I might add) Mirroring Episodes were used to signal when a major spiritual transformation process began for her, and when that transformation was successfully completed.
To put it another way, L-’s spiritual transformation from one level of being to another, was clearly marked by two initiation events, separated by a significant period of time, which were mirror images of one another. Because these two episodes were mirror images of one another they appeared on the surface to be the same: both episodes involved L- performing the same task, which was to read something. In fact, however, the two events were very different, because L- the initiate - had changed her spiritual status in the period between the two episodes, or initiation events. Anyway, hopefully, you will see what I mean if you follow this story through from it’s beginning to its’ conclusion.
Receiving My Instructions from Spirit!
It all began with me receiving my “instructions,” as I call them, from Spirit. I learned many years ago to listen to Spirit and to follow unquestioningly whatever guidance, promptings, and directions I was given. I learned over time, over a long series of initiations which spanned many years, that the information I received was always, without exception, reliable and trustworthy.
Of course, there is no insistence from Spirit that any of us have to listen and act on what we receive, or trust in it so completely, it is entirely up to us, we always have the choice whether or not to listen and act. I have, however, learned over the years both to listen to and trust Spirit completely, for I know that I am always guided ”truly,” and guided to a good, safer, more joyful place in life.
Becoming preoccupied with something is the first sign for me that I am receiving information and guidance from the Higher Spirit Realms, and one day, I started to become very preoccupied with the idea that I had to prepare my class for an important spiritual test (initiation) which would take them to a new level of spiritual mastery. When this preoccupation was later backed up by a variety of “other-worldly” experiences designed to explain exactly what I needed to do and why, I knew that I was being asked to do something very important.
As I understood it at the time, Spirit wished me to prepare my class for a test, an initiation, designed to test their readiness and willingness to be instruments through which Spirit could work to bring about the Higher Plan of Ascension. My task, therefore, was to prepare the group for their ”Call to Higher Service, ” as this kind of important initiation is often known.
Being Effective Intruments and Channels for Spirit.
It is a great honour to be called to serve Spirit, but as I mentioned earlier, if we are to be effective channels and instruments for them to work through, we need to have the ability to accurately receive guidance and information from the Spirit Realms directly. And we need to be willing and able to carry out faithfully, whatever tasks or actions Spirit guides us to do.
There is usually a major obstacle that needs to be overcome, however, if we are ever to be able to receive guidance from Spirit accurately: we need to learn to distinguish between Spirit’s guidance, which often only consists of subtle promptings and feelings, and the unsubtle, unmistakeable “voice” of our ego. Until we can do this, our ability to serve Spirit is limited.
The guidance we receive from Spirit and from our ego - I mean here, our mind-created identity, or self - is almost always in direct opposition and contrast. Because we believe that the voice of our ego is our own voice, rather than the voice of our mind, we tend to pay attention to it and act according to what it’s telling us to do.
Unfortunately, because we pay so much attention to the voice of our ego-mind, we are often oblivious to, and unconscious of, a great deal of other activity that’s occurring; both around us in the external world, and inside us: inside our bodies and our heads. The result of this is that the more subtle feelings, thoughts, intuitions, and gentle promptings and suggestions that we’re always receiving from Spirit /Soul, are usually drowned out, or at least muffled, by the ego’s more unambiguous , seemingly authoratative, instructions and demands.
Anyway, my task was to check the groups’ willingness and ability to carry out a simple, straight forward task. Although I myself could choose this task, I was not to tell them that they were, in fact, participating in a test. Furthermore, when they had completed the task, I was then to ask each of them some questions about how they had performed the task. Basically, whether they had performed it conscientiously and to the letter. This was intended as a test of each person’s openness, honesty and general integrity.
We can only be truly open and honest when we decide to drop the masks we wear in order to present a particular image of our self to the world (usually, this is an idealised image - a more “perfect” you.) This idealised image, or false-self, prevents us from being ”known” or “seen” by others as we truly are. Of course, we only present a false-self to the world because we are convinced that our true self is unworthy and therefore unacceptable. Being willing to reveal our authentic, true self to the world, therefore, signals that we have reached an important stage in our journey towards Wholeness. It signals our willingness to accept ourselves as we are, complete with flaws, frailties, imperfections and wounds. So, the questions I was to ask the class, about how conscientiously they carried out the task requested of them, would provide them with the opportunity to be open and honest about their performance.
So it was that I announced to the class in a conversational manner towards the end of one of our weekly sessions that, for a change, I was giving them some homework. They were to read the novel, “The Time Traveller’s Wife,” by Audrey Niffeneggel. I gave them about a month to read it, I think, which in the end turned into about six weeks.
This test was going to be so simple and easy for them to pass, I thought. I’d chosen a task which I believed was not just easy but enjoyable. In my mind, therefore, there would be no problem. Or so I thought. Because after a few weeks when I asked how they were all getting along with their reading, it turned out that half the class weren’t aware that they had been asked to read the novel at all!
And from that point onwards, things went from bad to worse . . .

To Be Continued in Part Three with L-’s story, which begins with her listening to, and acting on, the guidance of her ego, and ends when she hears, and acts upon, guidance from her Higher Self.
