“The World: Our Mirror ” category is intended to improve your life in very real, concrete ways. In order to make changes on the “outside” however, we need to make changes on the inside: in our inner world of beliefs, imaginings, ideas, thoughts, feelings and attitudes. Trying to bring about any kind of change in our (so-called) external life only works, however, if we project the appropriate energy (think of it as gathering together the right ingredients to make the perfect cake ) onto the film screen that surrounds us which we call physical reality. In other words, think of yourself as being the projector of the holographic film - the reality- that you want to watch, participate in, and experience.
So, just to repeat - because it can’t be repeated enough, in my view - what is doing the projecting is you: the inner you that consists of your beliefs, imaginings, thoughts, etc, etc. So if you are going to learn how to master the physical plane, you need to understand that what you see in the outside world is the result or effect of what is happening within your psyche. The “outer” is always the result of the “inner,” remember.
For example, if you feel peaceful and calm and in harmony with yourself, the world and everyone in it, then the energy you are feeling will translate itself into circumstances and relationships and events, that perfectly match the energy you are projecting, or emitting.
Practicing Peace and Harmony.
If we want to create peace and harmony in our life we have to be peace and harmony. Easier said than done, I hear you say. Or, I hear you mutter, How can I feel peaceful and harmonious when my life is in turmoil and so-and-so won’t let me be peaceful and harmonious? Well, this is where you start to take your power back. Try this, it’s an exercise, a guided meditation, if you like, on sourcing peace and harmony from within yourself. To put it another way, Heaven is within you, let’s go find it.
1. Go and find somewhere where you will be quiet and undisturbed for a few minutes. Relax by either sitting or lying down, and start to imagine that you are incredibly at peace in your life right now. Feel the peace start to rise within your body as you imagine scenes of a peaceful, harmonious nature playing out around you.
2. If you find this difficult to imagine, adjust your position and breathing rhythm so that you feel more comfortable and then ask yourself, What would being at total peace with my life right now, actually mean?
Would it mean that you were happy and at peace with your work? With your financial situation? With your physical appearance and/or state of health? With your environment? Think of what would need to be healed in your life and relationships for you to feel perfectly at peace with everything and everyone; to feel absolutely carefree.
3. Now imagine that all of your troubles, anxieties and difficulties, have already been solved. You are carefree. You don’t need to think how they were all solved, just know that they have been, and that they were all solved effortlessly. Everything and everyone you used to worry about, is and are now, happy and at peace, as you are now happy and at peace.
Different scenes of yourself in situations in which you are enjoying your new peaceful, harmonious, safe and carefree life, play themselves out in your mind. Imagine this is your life now, today, at this very moment.
4. You can now take a deep breath and exhale all of the tension, anxiety and fear that unconsciously, you have been carrying within your body, perhaps for a very long time. You are now releasing this energy as you breathe out, letting it all go, allowing the beautiful energy of peace to fill you instead.
5. Now imagine that there is a wonderful feeling of harmony existing now between you and everyone else you know, and don’t know. You feel so at peace with everyone now, so much in harmony. You are now completely carefree; you are absolutley at peace with yourself, your life, your circumstances, your relationships, in fact, every single aspect and part of your life.
Different scenes of yourself living this perfectly peaceful, harmonious and carefree life right now, today, play out in your mind and you feel as if your life is Heaven. Perfect Heaven.
6. Become aware that a new feeling, a new energy has started to fill your being. It’s the feeling of being carefree, of being totally at peace and in harmony with all that exists. It’s the feeling of your life being Heavenly.
7. As you feel this energy filling every part of your physical body you suddenly realize that you have found your rightful place in the world. Gratitude floods through you because of this. You are so grateful that all of your searching and difficulties are now over. You have found the key to Heaven, and it was within you, all along. You were never dependent on anyone else to give you anything you wanted or needed. You always had the power, the ability to create Heaven on Earth for yourself.
You have come home and are now safe, valued and completely loved, at long last. You have found Heaven and are experiencing Heaven on Earth, now.
Stay in this state for as long as you want. Emerge from it as gently as you can, being aware that you are carrying extremely high and valuable energy within your system as you do so, energy that is so incredibly powerful that it will transform not only your own life and circumstances but the lives of those you have been thinking of during the exercise. Try to remember to “carry” or hold this energy within you all of the time; understanding that within you is the source of all that you could ever want and need to be in Heaven.
This exercise will get easier the more you practice it. The more you practice it the more you are creating an outer world to match your inner world.
This is the exercise I most love to do. It works. Try to do it every day, for at least five minutes, more if you can. The important thing to keep in mind is to feel and imagine that the peace and harmony you long for (Heaven) is already present in your life, NOW.
