One of the secrets of alchemy is that what is “out there” in the physical world can’t be separated from what’s inside our head.  To put it another way, the physical, material world, is a manifestation of our psyche: they are different manifestations of one and the same thing.  So, if we want to be reunited  with Creation, if we want to achieve what many call Unity Consciousness, then the physical world and our psyche must somehow unify and this unification can only occur within our own psyche. 

Evidence of Oneness.

The  process of unifying our inner and outer “worlds”  begins when we start to perceive that there is  actually a link between them. The evidence of this starts to come to us in the form of coincidences,  synchronicities, signs, and various other messages or indications that we perceive and experience, that demonstrate to us  that  the Universe  is responding to, and/or communicating with us, personally.  This evidence increases and becomes ever more personal, the more we look for it.

So, it is by perceiving the connection that exists between our inner world and the so-called outer world, that begins the process of dissolving and breaking down the barriers that appear to keep us separate and isolated from  everything and everyone else. Consensus reality: the perception that we are isolated and apart from all forms that appear to exist outside of and beyond our own body, is undermined, and what takes its place is spiritual vision. This is a new way of perceiving  in which we “see” things from a higher level of consciousness and understanding. In short,  we perceive in a more enlightened way, so even though our physical eyes still register the appearance of the seperateness of all things, we know that this appearance is an illusion: a trick of the eyes, as it were.  

Dissolution of Ego-Boundaries.

When we start to perceive the link that exists  between our internal and external world,  the powerful boundary  between our conscious and our unconscious  which our ego, our sense of individual self, holds rigidly in place, begins to dissolve.  This allows the split that exists between our conscious and unconscious (both personal and collective unconscious)  to heal,  so that we can finally  experience our self as One, fully conscious, Unified, Whole Self,  At-One with all of Creation.

At last, we have broken through and dissolved the illusory  boundaries  that our ego, that mind-produced self that we always imagined ourselves to be, wove around and about our sleeping self.  Now, we  awaken from our dark enchantment, our dark dream of isolation, separateness,  limitation, lack, abandonment  by God/Goddess,  and the expression of littleness in all its forms.

A Warning.

If the  dissolution of the barriers between our conscious and our unconscious mind ( which remember,  also contains the collective unconscious as well as our own personal unconscious ) were to occur  suddenly, or all at once, however, which can happen in certain, rare circumstances, it would be very disorienting -  not to mention frightening if we didn’t understand what was happening. Instead of a joyful reunion with the “rest” of ourselves: the Universe, we might believe we were going mad!

By consciously assisting in a more gradual process of spiritual awakening, however,  we make our journey of re-unification magical and beautiful. In my experience, when we witness the world  responding to us personally, it provides great comfort, because  we start to realize how protected and loved by God/Goddess we really are. We also  start to fully understand the old saying that God is aware of every sparrow that falls. 

We Awaken Ourselves and the World.

We need to understand how important we are in the overall scheme of things and that nothing can exist without us because we are an integral part of the Whole.  Indeed, so important and powerful are we that when we begin to awaken to our unity with All-That-Is,  we also begin to  awaken Creation from Its’ sleep of forgetfulness.  

When we look at the world with our  new vision, with our new recognition and understanding that  we are not separate from anything or anyone we see,  but are connected on a level our physical eyes fail to register, not only have we begun to  awaken more fully to the truth of things, we have also begun to awaken the sleeping world of Nature to the awareness of Its’ Divinity. We are bringing every living thing to an awareness that All is One Divine Being and we all share identity with that Divine Being.  

In the end, we are birthing ourselves as the Divine child.
